Useful Tips for Your Phone Chatline Conversation

By Mary Ann Tordecilla

There are interesting twists you can find in online dating. Some people who met online usually decide to take the next level into phone conversation. And when something like this does, it is kind of uncomfortable talking to your online date through phone since the usual is just online chatting.

But of course, before anything else, online daters need first to hear each other's voices even before actually meeting each other in person. And phone conversation is a tool that should start this intimacy.

Congratulations when you get your first number from your date. But then again, nothing is won yet unless you have done the right thing in conversing and dating though phone. So below are some tricks to do it right:

1. Before dialing the number, make sure you are prepared with a list of topics you will be talking. These topics should be based from the email exchanges you have made from the past and from the chats you have done. So just follow up these messages you exchange with your online date and you will come up with several interesting topics you will be discussing though the phone. IN addition, you have to prepare questions that require interesting answers. Make sure too that you have an interesting answer to these questions and listen well to what your date has to say to these questions.

2. Never ask your date about the other dates he or she is also making. This is very inappropriate and insensitive. Never bring up any topic that concerns third party relationship and the likes. These kind of subjects ruin the whole conversation.

3. Be extra sensitive to your online date. When you hear answers that goes with long pauses or answers that has quick and short notice, then just stop and go ahead with another topic. You have to respect each other by being sensitive to each other about a certain topic that may be so uncomfortable to your date.

4. Do not over compliment your online ate through phone conversation. One it is kind of weird to all of a sudden hearing you say all nice things all the time. And second, just focus on getting to more about your date rather than spending complimentary words that most of the times are really irritating.

5. There are circumstances that your online date wants some compliments like asking you how you liked him/her in the first place with the so many online profiles out there. Then this is the time that you try to compliment your date. See to it that when your date asks some compliments, then you give them freely.

As said, online dating can be so much fun than traditional meet-ups. In a way, it requires a lot of time to get to know each other but on the other hand too, online dating paves way for two people to meet and know each other comfortably. - 31991
